One of our club members mentioned an interest in playing Dystopian Wars. This suggestion prompted me to pull out some boards that I had built a few years ago. So instead of working on my current Pulp Alley project, I have become distracted by yet another project. On the other hand I have been looking for something to use in a video...
Now, brief rant, I am constantly amazed by how bad some of the stuff that I have produced look only a few years later. I knew these boards were not spectacular, but I had, perhaps repressed, the memory of just what these things looked like. The 'hills' are barely adequate, the brown I used for mud is not to my liking, and there is no where enough grass. Also the boards do not entirely match up as the exit points of the roads occur at the 12" mark on the short sides and the 24" mark on the long edge.
So it is time to fix this problem. Last night I got started on it, not just because of the request to play Dystopian Wars, but deep down I suspect this project has moved to the front burner, mostly because I should really be working on a Pulp Alley game that is to be played in the next week or so.
