So, I am cobbling together a selection of left over parts, "found items" and one over scale racing plane. I am hoping that I can tie this stuff all together into a behemoth of plane. It is something I have thought about for a while, but suddenly became inspired this week.
The centre fuselage is the oversize racing plane, turned upside down. Where the propeller should be, there will instead be a copula reminiscent of a WWII bomber made from a cat toy. I used an HO scale tank for the canopy on top of the fuselage. The rear mounted gun is a left over from a Dust tactics vehicle.
The 'wings' are actually meant to be a gang plank connecting the three fuselages. They came from a Pegasus hobbies kit. The underside will retain the original cockpit, as that will be where the controller of the grappling cannon.
The two outer fuselages are from the dollar store. They were a kids toy cut off/grinder toy. I have four of them, and had always planned to use them as transport spaceships in some pulp sci-fi game.,
The plan includes an upper wing made of balsa wood, that will be mounted high enough that crew can be placed on the catwalk below the wing. I also have two spare turrets from the VSF mono wheel tank, and two rocket launcher disc things (from the same mono wheel), that will be placed on the outer fuselages to represent high tech propulsion.
This has every chance of being completed, but will it hold together?.
