Working on the first 25 vehicles for All Quiet on the Martian Front
Well having crappy memory, and having failed to take any notes, I was forced to reconstruct what paints I had used to paint the landship.
Primed black, then a base coat of olive green (rattle can Krylon camouflage paint)
Left after base coat, right after dry brush a craft paint Yew green
Before/after comparison A dry brush of leaf green craft paint was added to this, then a dark green ink wash
Treads painted, with earth wash, then on the main structure of the tank a dark green wash. on most, some got a sepia wash
Battle damage from a heat ray, this will have rust added to it
First time that I tried the salt method to do rust, not bad
These were primed red oxide, then salted and sprayed over with British Armour (Italy)
I wanted a junkier look to these tanks, no green at all, just sepia wash
The to be done pile...
I will be able to assemble twelve Mk 1, twenty one Mk 3, two command, and one support
Civilians at the top of the picture with raver zombies advancing from the bottom...
Seen these before, still not done, need to be this week!
Freshly based and primed, maybe for this weekend
