Before and after sepia wash.
| This will need a drybrush of grey/white driftwood |
So, I used the Vallejo Sepia dip (large container) for most of the models, but I used the Vallejo black dip for the shack pictured above. In both cases I applied a generous amount by brush and then dabbed the model with a cheap makeup sponge. This allowed me to remove some of the wash but also allowed me to spread it around a bit, and to get the wash into the cracks.
The brown wash adds some depth and texture. This is helped by using a variety of paint colours in the initial stages of the painting. The wash really makes the lighter area pop!
| The skins were painted with craft paint golden brown they will be washed too |
A may do a very light dry brush of a very light colour just for some final highlights.
