My take on this aspect of the table top gaming experience. Not an expert just one person trying to do what he can & trying to demonstrate that anyone can do it.

Katyusha Red Rocket Corps

I am still working on my Imperial guard troops, honest, but while taking time to reorganize and clean up my game room I found these guys, and, well, could not resist painting them up.

Gorilla of my dreams?

Took a break from Imperial troops to paint up this Reaper gorilla. It is a lovely model, so good that even my painting cannot ruin it!

Robots, robots, robots, I seem to keep painting robots

Some old school GW robots finally painted! Three different types, some have ersatz weapons attached as I was unable to locate all of the original parts. The substitutes came from Adeptus Titanicus weapons, and from the Gear Krieg.

GW Imperial Guard test

Just a test to see if I like the colour palette that I have selected. So far I like it well enough to green light this project.

Games Workshop Wall of Matyrs; Defence line, Bunker and Defence emplacement

I am very happy to see this project done! They are nice enough models, but all the extra little details were annoying and not worth the effort.

Something from Ainsty castings

It is amazing what photos reveal that the naked eye cannot see...

From this one picture I see that some touch ups are needed. Now given my eyes are nearly 60 years old, what I can see on a table top is not as clear as this picture, but I still think a little bit more work may well be in order.

Games Workshop Imperial ruin

Not much to show for today's work, only this Imperil ruin. Somehow the photo has made it look even more red than it looks in person. The last picture in the set is closer to reality, as there are multiple shades of red incorporated into this model.

I tend to work on multiple items at any one time, in part because I do not like to wait for paint to dry before proceeding to the next colour. The thought is that it is better to apply some paint or basing material or whatever to another project than mess up something because I did not wait long enough for it to dry. So I do have 9 or so more almost completed and should have them done early this week.

Games Workshop 40K Quake cannon craters

So I am continuing my strange, paint GW 40K scenery even though I have no 40K forces painted to use on said scenery kick!

Two gates finished and based

The dark stone gate had been mostly painted and sitting around the basement for more than a year, while the desert tan gate had been unassembled in a bag.

Games Workshop Ork Trukk

While working on the rhino/woods scenery, I also had time to work on this vehicle.

So, flocking it is...

Well, this is finally finished, I guess. In the last couple of days I have 'finished' this 3 times! Every time I think I'm done, it drags me back in to do one last touch up.

First item for 2021 finished, oddly not one of the items that I posted about yesterday

So, today I was suddenly inspired to paint this old bit of GW scenery, thankfully it was already primed black, so I could get right into it. I also spread some more paint over some of the other GW items from yesterdays post, and dry brushed some metallic paint onto the Ork Trukk.
