My take on this aspect of the table top gaming experience. Not an expert just one person trying to do what he can & trying to demonstrate that anyone can do it.

On a roll, this time a relatively simple paint job

Another one of those "this model has been around for a while" paint jobs.

For a simple job, there are a lot of layers to this.

  1. Prime black
  2. Base GW Warplock bronze
  3. Overbrush of GW Retribution armour,
  4. Then overbrush/dry brush GW Balthasar gold.
  5. The dry brush Reaper Tarnished brass
  6. Also dry brush of Vallejo Old gold (because I ran out of Tarnished Brass)
  7. Overall wash of Vallejo Sepia tone
  8. More dry brushing of Old gold
  9. Then GW Nihlakh oxide dry brushed over some of it
  10. GW Nihalkh oxide painted in deeper areas, and burnished in recesses ans surface

The pictures do not entirely demonstrate some of the nuances of the colour transitions.
